La Casona de Con is an ancient hamlet, recently restored. It is located in a beautiful valley looking south, a window into Picos de Europa.
It is comprised of several buildings, with a yard and large parking space. It is the perfect viewpoint for Asturias middle mountain range. It is filled with the sounds and silence of nature.
A distant cowbell reminds us that we are in a grazing region known for its cattle, right at the center of the municipality of Cangas de Onís.
The neighboring territories of Cabrales, Amieva and Ponga, all of them municipalities belonging to the biosphere reserve of Picos de Europa, are easily and quickly accessible from our house.
Enjoy and discover this land of shepherds from our corridors, porches and living rooms.
The house looks over the valley that is home to the Gamonedo villages. Named after these villages, a cheese is produced in the sheepholds of Los Lagos, left to mature inside its caves.
Enjoy your breakfast looking at the land that makes it all possible, from Cruz de Priena, over Covadonga, down to the pastures of Con. And do so in peace and quiet.
Sit and enjoy the views, rejoice in the sounds of nature and do not rush. Remember to bring a book. If you are not up for a drive, you can always stay for dinner.
